Lululemon Store Visit - Georgetown 6/7/14

Like I said in my post earlier tonight...I went to Georgetown today to take back my Run Times shorts. I liked the fit, but I'm hoping to get a Cadet Blue version of the Palm Print. It was really nice in Georgetown so I was out in a strapless dress and flip flops.

It was feeling like a bangle-sort of day...I finished my outfit with a watch and a few bracelets.

I tried the Flowabunga Speeds and I really liked them. They were a tinsy bit tight, but at least they were a four-way stretch. I didn't end up getting them because I wasn't super excited with the print. My Lulu collection is so huge I'm trying to just limit myself to pieces I really love. I must have the urge to instantly rip off the tags and wear it to take it home with me.

I tried on the Plunge Bra in Opal and I really liked it at first. It reminded me of the Ebb to Street Bra with a prettier back. It was really comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the fact that you could not put inserts in. I actually smoothed out the nipple showing online, but this one shows nipple. The nipple thing really bothers me so it was a big no for me...but that's my personal preference. If you are not so nipple-phobic you will more than likely really like this bra.

I also had a chance to try on the Angel Blue Cool Racerback.  One of the readers said they didn't like it and sent it back. It definitely was a little more spongy like she said...but I still liked it. It had the same coverage. It was a little tight in the back, but I'm going to have to try it on again when I get it in the mail. The color was really pretty and I'm tempted to keep it for the color alone.

Oh dear...this is where things got flat out ugly. The "Get On It" Crops were ugly...butt ugly. I usually try to be pretty tactful when describing outfits I do not like....because well...we all have different tastes and that doesn't mean mine is always right. But these....wow....they say wear these on dates. I can't imagine ANY date I would want to wear these on. Actually I feel like Lululemon should pay me $98 to wear them....I wouldn't wear these if they were free.

I accidentally deleted my photos of the "Get On It" shorts....I think I thought they were the same photos. The Ok Hi shorts were almost identical to the Get On It shorts. The only differences was teh Get On It shorts had an actual button fly and shiny material. They both fit really REALLY tight. If you really like the high waist look, you might have to size up. I am a true size 6 in Lululemon bottoms. Sometimes I can wear a size 4 but I have never had to size up to a size 8. I would have had to size up to at least a size 8 to consider these.

The Fast & Free jacket was a little cute. I kinda liked it but I couldn't make up my mind. I think the aquamarine color kept it from looking like a plastic trash bag. I liked that it was a light spring jacket. I would probably consider it if it was a on a really good markdown.

My Bruised Berry Wee Are From Space (WAFS) Inspire Crops were the biggest disappointment. I am a WAFS and Inspire Crop fanatic, but I don't think I like this print after seeing it up close. It had to much white in it and the contrasted stitching was a bit too much. They didn't seem like the Inspires I have loved in the past. I really like the Blue Tropics and the Neon Pink WAFS print. If they come out with Inspire Crops in those, I would be all over it...especially the Neon Pink ones.

The Shanti Surf Rash Gaurd was actually pretty cute in a kooky sort of way. I think if I was into surfing I would actually like it. I tried the Shanti bikini, but I'm sparing you of the photos....it was not a flattering fit for a curvier girl.

The Seemlessly Covered Tank in Bruised Berry was a big giant no for me. It was not built for girls with big boobs. They have no where to escape so they go out to the side.

I really liked the Beach Breaker bag. I know it is a simple bag but the pastel straps make it pretty...I think it go with a lot too. I also like the pretty stretching strap and mat straps. I was currently practicing yoga I would have gotten them!
