Last October, I went on a rant about Lululemon bags looking like knock-off designer replicas....
Last fall's "Carry Me Om" looked like a cross between Celine's Trapeze and Phantom bags...mainly the Phantom.
IMO, it was a really obvious knock-off. I get the inspired look, but don't try to pretend to be a $3,000+ bag...it just isn't going to happen....
Meet the "Om for All". Lululemon's most recent knock-off bag. When I saw the photos, I knew I have seen that bag. Congrats Lulu....you have graduated from $3,000 knock-off bags and are now trying to rip off $170 bags. Glad you are finally stooping to your more achievable price point.
Lululemon's "Om for All" bag, priced at $118, is a canvas fabric bag that is 17" x 8" x 14" and comes with a bottom zipper compartment for your dirty shoes.
Kate Spade Saturday's "Weekender" bag, priced at $170, is a canvas fabric bag that is 16" x 8" 19" and comes with a bottom wrap-around zipper compartment for your dirty shoes and other articles.
Hmmm...surprisingly similar eh? I call cheater cheater, pumpkin eater....
Kate Spade Saturday offers a 15% discount for new email subscriptions, making this bag $145. I say skip the knockoff and get a better, bigger bag (ahem...zip around compartment vice little zipper) for a mere $27 more.
That's not even the price difference of a CRB tank AND you can get a custom designed one with your monogram!
Lulu-fail! Don't want others "copying" your designs, yet you have no issues with stealing borrowing from others?
Is imitation really the sincerest form of flattery or is it just creative laziness?
