Lululemon Store Visit - 2/19/14

Ugh...I have been to TOO many store visits lately. I'm burnt out. Done. Well at least for week or two.

I kept thinking about going to the Bethesda store tonight. They are a little farther away...about 45 min...but they have some different products than the DC stores. They received the Bali Breeze CRB a few weeks ago, and the other 4 stores have yet to receive it.

I had a moment of laziness where I decided not to go, but then I checked my email. Georgetown had a good product drop. They had the Medium Grey WUC, Fatigue In the Flows, Live Natural Crops, Cadet Blue Inspires and LS Swiftlys.....yep. I was sold. Off I went to Georgetown.

Well I'm going to disclose a bummer up front. No Cadet Inspires or Swiftly LS. I did order the Swiftly LS online because I knew I really wanted it, and I didn't want to hop around town in the event only a few places received it. I really wanted to try on the Inspire crops, but maybe it was fate. The lulu-karma knew I would be tempted to buy them.

I tried on the new skirt and crop top. I actually liked this combination. The crop top goes well with the skirt. I think it will help sell the skirt this time around....there weren't too many top options last time.

I liked that you could pull the skirt as high or low as you wanted, but the white parts were a little sheer. I could see my underwear through the white  I was thinking that I would have wanted this hemmed, but I like the length now that I see the photos. I had to pass on this because its not my day-to-day style. I wouldn't really get that much wear out of the outfit, but it definitely had a "cool girl"  vibe. I could see this with a slick ponytail or bun, retro shades, skinny black flip flops or simple wedge sandals.

The Run Some Love LS in grey was a little too simple for me. I really liked the fatigue In the Flows, but they were really sheer. I could see everything without bending over! I really liked the solid fatigue color and wished they worked out....maybe they will come out with fatigue Inspire crops! Oooh...that would be trouble!

Really liked the Live Natural pants. They were really warm and cozy...didn't find them sheer. I liked the color. We just got some "warm" weather of 50 degrees, so I wasn't itching for warming layers. If these were pre-polar vortex, I probably would have snatched them up. I'm also not really a fan of high waistbands, but I liked this one.

Post Sweat Pullover in cadet blue was really cute. I liked the scoop shape over the butt....it's really flattering. The Medium Grey WUC were REALLY sheer. Wow....I wouldn't even be worried about sweat with sheerness this bad. These were out of the question.

Tried the In the Flow shorts in black. I wanted the inkwell ones, but they only had black in a size 6. They are on the short size, but they are really comfortable. The boogie shorts give me camel toe, but these don't. I was looking for a pair of spandex shorts for static trapeze (for doubles), so I was pretty happy with these.

Finally....the true gem of the night. I wanted to call to see if they had these in, but I chickened out. I didn't want to know. I was also worried about finding a second size 6 for another reader, since these were being snatched up left and right.

It was truly fate. There were only two pairs of crops....both size 6. I felt a little guilty at first taking the last two pairs, so I asked the educators I was talking to! They had no issues with me taking the last two pairs....so they went home with me. I thought it was really odd that I needed two size 6s and there they both were....not only were they out of their entire size run, but they only had two pairs in size 6. This never happens. So I took it as fate and left. I would have felt like a bigger turd if I knew there was an extra pair, didn't pick them up for the reader but picked them up for myself. So please don't judge. I didn't steal the entire size run...just one spare for someone who really wanted a to find a pair. I'm hoping this good karma will pay it forward for when I'm desperate to find my unicorn.

Overall, they are much thicker than I thought. I didn't experience sheerness, but I can see how these would feel warm after awhile. The ombre is really pretty and I can see these being a unicorn rare item down the road. I was sad I missed them during last week's upload, but told myself they would be sheer anyways.  I really like these and happy I found them.

I bought the In the Flow shorts in black. They are little short. These would be perfect for hot yoga or beach runs. I'm planning on using these now for static trapeze....I get more use in the summer. I bought them in a size 6.

I also got a light as air thong in nude. I wanted to see if their underwear would help since some of mine excessively shows. So far, they worked really well and they didn't roll too much on the ends...an issue I see with a lot of seamless underwear...making them look not too "seamless".

Had to get the Live Natural Crop. They were too pretty to pass on.

The hand dye job is really pretty. I like the gathering on the butt. I'm still pretty excited about these...I hope they don't end up being too warm.

So that is all for now....now a MUCH needed financial break!
