Brand Review: Fabletics

My December package came in yesterday, and I have another package from Fabletics!

Last month I gave my first review for Fabletics. Kate Hudson has teamed up with Fabletics to create fashionable and affordable fitness apparel for women.

Here's what they have to say about their company:

"Fabletics is an innovative, high-quality athletic wear and accessories line that helps you feel great, look great, and fits your budget. Our designs uphold our core principles of fit, function, and style for fabulously active women. From the essentials to fashion-infused designs, we offer a range of athleticwear for the workout and beyond."

Fabletics is a monthly subscription for fitness apparel. As a Fabletics subscriber, you will receive a monthly selection of outfits to select from. These outfits typically range from 2-3 pieces and are priced at $49.95-59.95. Shipping is free, you can opt out on months you want to skip, or cancel at anytime. The website currently advertises the first outfit at 50% off.

Now I will admit, I was very skeptical after my first review. I was not blown away with the items out the packaging, but I find myself reaching out for both of my pieces over and over!

Last month I ordered the "stretch" package, and I wear my Kingston hoodie all the time. It looks a little boxy out the wrapper, but it is so comfy I end up choosing it over some of my Lululemon hoodies! It's a really great "lounge" piece. My Asaro leggings have been pretty good too. I just wore them today under my Lululemon Track to Reality pants to stay warm on my snowy run.

Last week I ordered the "Spirited" package on December 1st. The package came 6 days later. With the holidays coming up, I was pretty happy to get some "festive" leggings for Christmas. At $59.95, I figured it would be a good deal even if I wasn't 100% happy with the items. A jacket and a pair of leggings at Lululemon can easily push past $200. At roughly $30 a piece, I don't really know what to expect in terms of quality.

When I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised! The yoga pants are "Salar" leggings and there is a pocket on the front hip. Up on the top left corner, I placed my "love red" Lululemon CRB on top for a color combination. You can't see the difference in the photo, but the yoga pants are slightly darker. The leggings are about as "true" red as you could want. When I pulled them up, they felt compressive and even thick. They are not "winter" thick, but a good thickness for yoga. When I did the bend test at the knee, the material wasn't transparent.

(Note: You can expect sheerness, if you been your knee up and see skin. If your knee looks like you're wearing pantyhose, your pants are more than likely too thin.)

I didn't really know what to think about the jacket when I placed my order. While I liked the herringbone-like print, I worried that this jacket would look terrible in person. When I felt the jacket, the first thing I noticed was it was really soft, but thin. After I put it on, it felt just like a Lululemon Swiftly....so essentially this is a printed Swiftly with a full zipper. The print is adorable in person, but my only complaint is the zipper. I love the red accent, but it is a plastic zipper. I would have rather seen a metal, but I'm sure that is one of the small factors that make up the price difference.

I have done another Swiftly dupe review with a Marshall's brand, but the material felt nothing like it. The Marshall's brand was very scratchy. This one was very soft. While it is very thin for a true "jacket," this is going to get a lot of use in the spring and early summer. It will provide enough coverage and the zipper will allow me to peel it off quickly. Perfect for hot yoga, running, and cycling.

Here you can see the thinness of the "jacket," but I would just consider this as a long sleeve with a zipper. Similar to the Lululemon Swiftly Half-Zip.

Sorry for the chest shot...I wanted to give you guys a better view of the pattern. For being printed, it is a very pretty herringbone print.

By the way, my studio lights throw off the true color.
My pants are exactly the same color in the stock photos.
So this is the full outfit. I'm a lot more impressed with this month's delivery. After the first month, I wasn't planning on keeping my subscription....but I started to reach out for items from my first order more and more, and I am very happy with this month's designs. I really like the top as a potential alternative for Lululemon's long sleeve Swiftly. At $68 Lululemon's top is great, but over priced.

I'm going to order again next month to inspect the quality of their long sleeves....so far, I'm impressed!
