Glyder Mantra Crops in Calypso Space Dye

I was so excited to see that my Glyder Mantra Crops in Calypso space dye print came in a day early! They were supposed to come in today, but I got them last night.

I'm a Lululemon "We Are From Space" print fanatic. When I saw that Glyder carried space dye crops AND they were cheaper, I was ecstatic!  I tried Glyder's Mantra Crops in acai berry space dye last March, and I was thoroughly impressed with the fit and quality. They recently came out with a limited release of a summer space dye print, Calypso, and I knew I had to buy them!

I ordered the Mantra Crops in Calypso space dye in a size small. I ordered a size x-small last time, but decided to size up since they pinched my hips a little. The crops are great price. They originally retail for $56 which is about 22% less than Lululemon's Wunder Under Crops at $72. Since I'm a member of the Glyder "Guru" program, I got them at 30% off for $39.20.

The print, itself, is gorgeous. There is white, teal, and purple in this space dye. The teal and purple would be very similar to Lululemon's surge and bruised berry.

The only thing I wish the crops had was a pocket. Unfortunately, there is no internal or external pocket on the Mantra Crops. My apartment gym has a key fob entrance, and I have no where to put my key. :(

I'm not too wrapped up around the brand of space dye. Space dye print is still space dye print to me. I've gotten several pieces from different brands, and the strokes are all very similar in design.

From top to bottom: Ivivva Space Dye Pow Pink Light/Flash Light/Creamsicle Pop, Glyder Calypso Space Dye, Ellie Balance Capri, Lululemon Fatigue Wee Are From Space, and Glyder Acai Berry Space Dye

I have to admit that the fit was a little different from my first order. I'm glad I sized up because I probably wouldn't be able to fit in a size x-small! They felt a little tight in my rear, but they relaxed after about 10 minutes of wearing them. Now I would say they fit great.

Like my other pair, the material is very opaque. I don't have to worry about underwear lines or any lumps/bumps showing.

In my previous review, I compared Glyder's Mantra Crops to Lululemon's Wunder Under Crops. I would say that these are about 1-1.5" shorter than the Wunder Under Crops.

Just to give you an idea of the colors used, I compared the Mantra Crops to some of my Lululemon Cool Racerbacks.

Clockwise from top: Bruised Berry, White, and Surge

I think all three colors in the Cool Racerbacks look great with the print. I think I like the white and bruised berry best. I think surge color blends in a little bit with the pants, but I still like it.

Overall, I highly recommend Glyder Mantra crops if you are a space dye fanatic like me. They are a great value and feel the same as Lululemon's Wunder Under Crops. I'm a big fan!

Lululemon Wee Are From Space Compared to Glyder Space Dye

I really love Lululemon's Wee Are From Space (WAFS) print.....but we can go a few months without seeing it again. I was really excited to see another brand with the same style print at a cheaper price of $54.

I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison of my Lululemon Fatigue WAFS Wunder Under Crops (WUC) to my Glyder Mantra Crops in Acai Berry Space Dye.

I used Glyder's size chart and ordered an Extra Small (XS). I'm a size 6 in Lululemon WUC....but I think I'm inbetween sizes. I can technically wear a size 4, but I prefer the fit of a size 6.

As you can see, there really is not much difference in the Lululemon size 6 and the Glyder XS. Lululemon's WUC have a tiny more room at the hip...but no more than a half inch.

They were a spot on match in the width of the legs. The only difference was the length. The Glyder Mantra crops were almost 2 inches shorter than Lululemon's WUC.

A closer look of the prints. I find both styles to be really pretty. Lululemon's looks a little more broken up, while Glyder's has longer strokes on this version.

From Left to Right: Lululemon Fatigue WAFS, Lululemon Cadet WAFS, Glyder Acai Berry Space Dye

The only difference I could physically see was the length. Lululemon Fatigue WAFS WUC were a little longer.

Both materials were really soft, but I found Glyder's material to feel slightly more compressive.

Overall, I'm really happy with both of  my crops and I think the Glyder Mantra Crops are a great substitute to Lululemon's WUC.

Glyder Mantra Crops in Acai Berry Space Dye

I got my Glyder crops in today! I was really excited about these! I'm a Lululemon WAFS fanatic, so to see another company making something so similar makes me really happy. I ordered the Mantra Crops in Acai Berry Space Dye. They were $52 compared to Lululemon's Wunder Under crops for $72. That's 28% cheaper!

The material was soft and nice. I compared it to my Pow Pink WAFS Ivivva Keep Ur Cool Racer (top right). I've seen a lot of "knock off" space prints that look cheap, but these are a dead ringer for Lululemon. I chose this color because I like the longer lines in the print.

The fit was very nice. I originally ordered a size small, but I canceled my order after I read the size chart. I reordered the crops in XS. I was really surprised by how soft and compressive they were. Most cheaper brands have a more scratchier feel, but they looked and felt just like my Luluelmon WUCs.

They are really compressive....especially in the legs. The waist is nice too. The band feels fit without extreme "muffin top". I also like that their thread matches the color of the pants. I hated Lululemon's Zing Pink WAFS WUC because it looked like a string running down the crotch.

Overall, I'm really happy with them. I just put them on for a fit review, and now I don't want to take them off! I will definitely be paying attention to this brand for my space dye "needs" lol.

Lululemon shipments are slow....surprise, surprise.
Bali Breeze and Beachscape CRBs are coming on Tuesday.
Fatigue WAFS WUC are coming on Wednesday. I can't wait to do a side by side comparison!
