Update - I have returned my Wunder Under Diamond Dot Pants. I still don't think they were sheer, but they were really thin. I'm hoping to see them in Cotton Roll Downs or just solid Wunder Unders. Please buy with caution.
I'm baaack ladies! I was in Indiana for the last five days. I got to go to the Indiana State Fair so I was really happy that I was able to stuff my face with all kinds of debauchery....corn dogs, sweet corn on the cobb, elephant ears, homemade root beer....it's a good thing that it was only a day or I might have been in trouble!
As promised, I took a lot of photos of my new Lululemon items in Bordeaux Drama. Last Saturday I bought the diamond dot Wunder Under Pants and In the Flow Crops.
Here's a super close up of the two items. I bought both of these items in a size 6.
The diamond dot Wunder Unders have literally a "diamond dot" print. Although the pattern is a no-braienr, it should be noted that the black dots do make the pants look a touch darker than normal Bordeaux Drama. The pattern is so small you can't even see it at normal eyesight...you would have to get pretty close to see the dots.
There have been a lot of comments about the sheerness of these pants. While these comments have made me initially second guess myself, I have tried these pants and
With that being said, I would be VERY hesitant to buy these from resellers online. Lululemon has been known to produce poor batches of pants before, and I think I got one of the good pairs. I've had this happen in the past with other types like my Macro Micro Inspire Crops. Some had them pantyhose sheer while mine were perfectly fine. Just be very cautious if you buy online from other people because you will not be able to return them (unless you get some sympathy from a local store who is willing to damage them out). Just buy with caution.
I actually liked the fit of these because they didn't cut in at all. They were really lightweight, yet opaque, making them great for activities like hot yoga.
I also think the rich color looks awesome with slouchy boots for a casual fall look. I paired the Bordeaux Drama Diamond Dot Wunder Under Pants with a White Cool Racerback, Grey Exhalation Pullover, and Frye Veronica Slouch Boots. LOVE these with my boots!
I'm actually surprised that I plunked down on the In the Flow crops. I've had horrible luck in the past where they were either sheer or shadowy...plus I'm not a fan of the knee length crops since I am tall. Although I really love these, I will more than likely resell these if they ever come out in the Seemlessly Street Crop. They are essentially the same crops but with more length.
While this pair showed the tag standing up, I found these completely opaque. I've had issues in the past with either sheerness or weird shadows. (I'm 29 years old...I don't have a perfect ass these days.) In the Flows have never worked for me. I think the only pair in the past that were good were the Forest Green ones, but I passed on those since I just got a pair from Beyond Yoga in a similar color.
Still not a fan of the length...I would like 1.5-2" more, but I really like these. The color is really gorgeous in person. I also like that they breath well. I wore them in my static trapeze class and they were great!
Just to give your an idea of some similar plums and burgundy colors...
From left to right: Oiselle Roga Shorts in Burgen, Bordeaux Drama In the Flow Crops, Bordeaux Drama Diamond Dot Wunder Under Pants, Alma Tank in Plum, Karma LS in Heathered Plum, YogaSmoga Run Jump 'N Play Crops in Klarit Red.
I also stopped by the Free People store the same day I went to Lululemon. I really love their tops...some of them are great cover-ups to and from the gym!
I ended up getting the We The Free Sunkissed Tee in Night. I thought it was a tiny bit overpriced at $68, but I just loved the way it draped on me...I wanted one in every color! Maybe I can hope for a sale so I don't buy anymore full price! It has a string that runs along the top. I did notice that it was cut off on some of the model photos, but I left mine on since I still workout in it...I wouldn't want to have to deal with keep putting it back on my shoulder over and over.
Just to give you an idea how it looks without a tank underneath it. I think it shows just the right amount of skin in the back. I thought it might be a crop top in the front because it seemed short on the rack, but it had plenty of length.
I wore this look to trapeze and it was really comfortable. I debated putting a tank underneath it, but I'm glad I didn't. It was really hot that day so a tank would have been overkill. I did like that it was a breezy tank for a workout...I'll probably wear it again running later this week.
Here's another view if you were curious about how it would look over a tank. I like both looks and would wear a tank if I wanted to be a little more conservative...or if I wanted to wear it with jeans.
I also bought the Masquerade Cuff in Evergreen. I really loved all of the colors but chose a darker green since I didn't have many tops in that color. It fits like a fitted "long john" thermal top, but it also has these embroidery details on the cuffs that are just gorgeous! I got this top mainly for casual wear but thought it would also look great as a cover-up to and from the gym.
I paired the top with a Lululemon Cool Racerback in White and Cadet Blue Wunder Under Crops. Like I said earlier...I really love the cuff details...it is so pretty.
I think it is a great top to wear after the gym if you don't want to look sloppy afterwards. It is much better to pair a cute pullover with your yoga crops than to wear a ratty old sweatshirt if you are running around town.
That's all for now...I'm going to get back to my huge pile of laundry I need to catch up on. Did you order anything in Bordeaux Drama this week?
