Lululemon Store Visit

Oh, it was a terrible day at the store. I bought a few too many things, but some of them may (or may not) be going back.

CRB in size 4, Luxtreme WUC in size 6
The first two items I tried on were the Cool Racerback (CRB) in bruised berry and the Luxtreme Wunder Under Crops (WUC) in cadet blue pretty palm print.

I wasn't expecting to buy the CRB, but I really loved the rich color when I tried it on. It was soft and a little on the thin side.

I also liked the pretty palm WUC. I noticed that the cadet blue version does not stretch to white like the black and white version, but the material didn't seem quite right. Like others said, the Luxtreme was very slick. I found it ran small and scooped down on my backside. I'm normally on the small side of a size 6, but these were almost too small in the waist.

Ok, Hi! Short in size 8 and 6
I gave the Ok, Hi! Shorts another try. I sized up to a size 8 hoping that they would fit better (the first two photos on the left side). They were so big they started to whisker in the front. I sized down to my normal size 6 and they still seemed odd. I wanted them to fit, but I just don't think I can pull these off.

Rollin' with my Om'ies Tank in size 6
I was super bummed that the aquamarine and black Rollin' With My Om'ies tank was sold out in sizes 2 and 4. I tried a size 6, but wished I had a smaller size to compare it to. The Swift Ultra Light material feels nice and light; however, there is zero stretch. I would have liked to see the front a little more fitted, but I think the back would have been too small without any stretch. I really like this top for a summer piece...especially for causal wear.

Varsity Short in size 6
The Varsity Short was tempting, but I wasn't in love with them so they stayed behind. My closet is getting pretty full these days so I need to really love every piece I add. Although the material isn't very soft, I did like the retro fit.

Luxtreme WUC in size 6
I don't know where this came from, but I got suckered into camo. I'm shocked because I HATE camo....mainly because I'm in the military. These were much better than the camo WUP I tried on in the fall, but still wasn't a huge fan on how the Luxtreme feels. They are completely opaque; however, the problem is the material slipping. It's too tight in the waist, and a size up would be too loose.

I still like these, and I'm hoping for camo Inspires....so I bought them and kept the tags. I figured I would just swap them out when my local stores got them, and I could always trade or resell them if I missed my size.

Twist Bra Long Line in size 6
I was actually surprised that I liked the Twist Bra Long Line. I was worried that it didn't have inserts, but there are spots for them. The educator gave me the standard oval ones and the triangle ones used in the Ebb to Street bras. I found out that the oval ones don't work for me at all. They are too squished together. The triangle ones work much better.

This bra was definitely something that was late in production. Raspberry, Deep Zinfandel, and Inkwell were all winter colors. Actually there was a bra in January that was just called the Twist Bra with the same front and back:

Twist Bra in size 6
I ended up not getting it because it was a little skimpy on its on...it was just like a triangle top bikini. I really like that they added a band at the bottom. The thick band on the bottom gives the skimpy top part stability and prevents it from slipping up or down.

(So I apologize in advance on my photos...I was losing daylight and had to stop taking photos. I hope to have more photos tomorrow night!)

I ended up getting the Twist Bra Long Line in raspberry. It was a such a pretty color. I really noticed it when my local store paired it with high-waisted leggings. I really like this look because it doesn't look as showy. It just shows a small amount of the upper stomach and that's it.

I plan on wearing it as a crop mainly for trapeze or hot yoga. I'll probably pair it with loose tank tops for running and gym workouts. This is a hard crop to pull off. It's not too flattering on smaller chests, but not supportive enough for larger chests. With a wide v and not much lift, you have to have a pretty perky chest to pull it off. Definitely a low impact top.

I bought the Rollin' With My Om'ies tank in aquamarine, but I have mixed feelings about it. I do like the tank...I'm just hoping to try a size 4 before I decide to rip off the tags. We'll see. I would love to have some honest feedback though...I'm pretty torn.

This is where I started to lose my daylight....it was getting dark. The camo Luxtreme WUC look good with a tank, but they do cut in a little too much.

You can see where they cut in the back. They shouldn't be doing this with my hands above my head. :-\ I hope the Inspire Crops fit better. These might be going back.

Bruised berry is definitely a deep purple, but not nearly as dark as deep zinfandel. Some of the photos look more like power purple...it's actually much darker than that color.

I had to take a photo in the bathroom to get a realistic color comparison. Bruised berry is in the center. Clockwise starting from the top: grapeseed, power purple, ultra violet, raspberry, paris perfection, plum, deep zinfandel, and lullaby

So sorry for all of the mediocre photos! I'll try to do better tomorrow! I'm definitely keeping the Twist Bra and the CRB. What do you think about the Rollin' With My Om'ies tank and the WUC? Should I keep them or take them back?
