Lorna Jane #sharesomethinginspiring Challenge - Week 4 Recap

Good evening ladies! I'm taking a moment out of my day to recap my third week in the FitApproach/Lorna Jane #ShareSomethingInspiring Twitter Challenge!

Check out my first three recaps:
first week's recap
second week's recap
third week's recap

The #ShareSomethingInspiring Twitter challenge is being lead by my fellow sisters from FitApproach, aka #SweatPink Ambassadors with Lorna Jane Active. The month long challenge from May 22nd to June 21st is encouraging women to speak out and inspire on another to spread kindness and motivation as we maintain a fit lifestyle.

It's not too late to join. Two ladies will be selected at the end for a $500 Lorna Jane gift card. It's a great challenge....even without the gift card...but new activewear is always a plus! :) Check out the daily challenges and be sure to include the hashtags #SaySometingInspiring #LornaJane #SweatPink and @FitApproach @LornaJaneActive tags! You can use Instagram but ensure that your profile is public so the Lorna Jane page can see your posts!

The challenge is coming to its end :(. It has been a lot of fun but we have only 7 more days of the challenge. I have really loved all of these challenges and will continue with my motivational posts on my Instagram account after the challenge!

My Week #4 Recap from June 9- June 15:

June 9 - #ShareSomethingInspiring from the news!

LOVED the CNN.com article, "With health, not being perfect is ok."

"Over the last 20 years, I have attempted to lose that weight many times, always with the notion that this time I would be perfect. It was all or nothing. When I couldn't maintain perfection, I stopped trying. I felt bad about myself, which led to increased emotional eating and less exercise. It was a vicious cycle."

"Our assigned strength training is different than anything I have done before. Some exercises were almost impossible when I first started and remain challenging. I still do not do them with the perfect grace of people in the YouTube videos, and that is OK."

Love how these unlikely animals can be buddies....kind of make you think how we get along with others. If a lion and a gazelle can become friends, maybe I can make amends with my office nemesis?

June 11 - #ShareSomethingInspiring about a celebrity

oprah winfrey, quotes, sayings, people, friends, wise

This is the only post I missed this week, but I would have posted this quote about Oprah. I take this expression as not surrounding yourself with negative and toxic people. Surround yourself with supportive, loving people who are supportive and going to help enable your to meet your goals.

I definitely consider myself to be my own #1 motivator. While support from others is important, I'm the only one responsible for my own happiness. If I'm not happy, I need to look in the mirror...figure out what is causing me heartache and figure out a way to change it.

This was a hard challenge for me because I couldn't think of anything that made me cry....I actually was going to skip this challenge when I came across this photo the following day. There's something about this photo that makes me want to start blubber like a sap. I don't know if it is because she's disabled and can never fully dance or because shes still dancing despite her handicap. It is one of the sweetest photos I have seen.

I have constantly moved around over the last 10 years. With those moves I have learned that I'm always beginning a new chapter as I'm closing an old one.

I love this quote. My dad always reminds me to keep working hard. Hard work and discipline is rewarding, but you have to keep going to make it a lifestyle. It's not about what I used to have or could have had...its the lifestyle that I work for and the need to continuously seek self-improvement.

Well ladies...that is my Week 4 Recap! :( So sad we are in our final week. Stay turned for my final recap next week where I'll post a recap of the entire challenge! <3 Stay motivated!
