Lululemon Store Visit - Part II

As promised, part II from my Lululemon store visit. I went to Lululemon earlier this week, and I'm just getting around to posting it! So sorry! I'm going to be much better this week!

I stopped by the store on the way to the golf course. Feel free to chuckle at my nerd/hipster glasses. I had to dig them out of storage because it's been years since I've worn them. I'm wearing my Lululemon Angel Blue Forme Jacket, Bust a Move pants in Soot Light, Classy Cap in Nimbus, Lady Haugen White Sleeveless Polo, Nike White Ball Marker Belt, and New Balance Minimus Trail shoes.

I tried on the Swiftly Ruched in White and a Tall Pacesetter Skirt in Pretty Purple. The Swiftly surprised me. I thought I was going to completely hate it....the ruching looked sloppy on the website. I didn't think it looked terrible, but I think it did have a bit of sloppiness that I didn't like. I think its just my personal preference, but I like my shirts to lay flat on the front....it drives me nuts when they start riding/bunching up.

I really liked the Pretty Purple Pacesetter skirt. (I ended up buying this). I was worried the color would be too pale, but it is just right. The 4 way stretch lays really flat and I appreciate the solid waistband. I really liked the power purple one last summer, but didn't end up buying it because of its large striped waistband. I'm a sucker for purples...its my second favorite to blues :).

I was really tempted in the Secret Garden Speed shorts. I saw the pattern last week and it was not for me. I really liked in the speed shorts. The 4-way made a huge difference. I think most of my speed shorts are 2-way, so they were really comfortable.

The Pace Rival Skirt was cute in Clear Mint. I think the WAFS Cadet Blue looked a little stiff, but this looked really fun. The skirt was a little poofy and short...but the shorts gave enough coverage.

I really like the color Clear Mint. I bought a Cool Racerback (CRB) on a whim, and it is one of my most used colors....mainly because it goes with almost solid. Although I really liked the skirt, it was a pass for me. I need my skirts a little longer for golf and I don't wear the shorter ones for lifting or running.

I really liked the Deauville Pipe Dream Blue Energy bra. I think the solid blue in the background makes it stand out. I feel a bit loaded down on sports bras, so sadly I turned it away :(.

I also really liked the Pipe Dream Blue Free Reign shorts. The blue is really pretty and I love the striped piping. I also loved the convenient side pockets.

I really loved my Fatigue Cotton Roll-Down Wunder Under Pants (WUP), but the Heather Grey Wunder Under Crops (WUC) were too sheer. I could see all of my underwear and everything in the WUC, so it must be the color....there was a whole stack of the light grey at my local store.

The Go Go V tee in Tonka Cadet Blue was nice, but I just didn't really like the blue contrasted stitching. It just stuck out too much for me. I keep my Deauville Stripe Energy Bra on so you could get a good idea of the sheerness.

The Runamuck LS was marked down to $39. I liked the Silverescent material, but it wasn't for me.

The Lightened Up LS was nice, but I wasn't in love with it. I liked the Silverescent material, but it was too sheer. While some may like the laser cutouts, I thought they looked a little cheap to me. I think if they had a more intricate design, it would have been worth the price in a darker color.

Unfortunately, the Secret Garden CRB had a little too much poly in the material. The material felt soft, but it stretched sheer/white (as you can see int he photo). I've had other tanks that were higher in poly (like my Ivivva Seapunk Keep Ur Cool Racer), but they didn't stretch this noticeable.

The In the Flow Dress was just ok for me. I didn't think the material felt that great and the ruching wasn't in flattering places. I think the dress I tried on in Athleta was a lot more shapely and it was much softer. This dress felt and looked like an athletic dress. It would be hard to dress this up, and there aren't many sports to make this practical either.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So there was some good and bad this week at Lululemon. I felt like most of the items I liked were all in the front half! I really like my Pretty Purple Pacesetter. There were also a few items I loved, but had to pass because I just didn't need them.

Did you guys buy anything this week?
