I'm getting ready to go out for a run at the National Mall. It's Cherry Blossom season, so it will be a very crowded AND hot day. I wanted to throw my hair on top of my head, but I didn't want the normal "messy bun" or "topknot". Getting a little creative with my Sweaty Band, I was able to pull my hair completely back without using a single hair tie or bobby bin....all within 5 min :).
Today I'm feeling cherry and will be wearing my Lululemon Flow and Go Tank in Vintage Pink, Groovy Run Shorts in Beachscape, and my Wicked Sweaty Band in White.
Update: My husband and I did quite a long run (with some long breaks of walking/sightseeing):
We started in our neighborhood. It's one stop above Union Station. We ran to Union Station and then hopped the Metro to Metro Center. From there we ran to the National Mall.
After seeing a few landmarks, we ran through Chinatown and stopped at Rita's for my favorite summer treat! I <3 Rita's!
The biggest shocker happened when I took my hair down. I initially pulled my hair up when it was clean....no straightening or curling.....just a little damp on the ends and frizzy. It ended up staying up really well. My top knots and buns fall out a lot running because of the weight of it bouncing. I was really surprised I didn't need any touch ups when I was out!
After 2 1/2 hours of running/walking around sightseeing I took my hair down and I was completely shocked. I already knew it shouldn't be wet since it was completely off my neck.....what I wasn't expecting was a full head of curls like I just finished my hair!
2 1/2 hours later! |
Will be updating this in the near future with photo tutorials, so keep checking back!
Have a great weekend! Enjoy this nice day of weather! :)
