Shake and Break Inconsistent Sizing and a Lulu-Store Visit!

Sorry for my absence lately...I haven't even had time to study for my upcoming exam :(. It's been really crazy at work with the budget submission. I worked 20 hours yesterday, 14 hours the day before, and 16 hours the day before that. Literally have been grabbing food and going straight to bed after work. I'm going to sleep A LOT this weekend!

Last week, I discovered a pair of Shake and Break shorts, and ended up loving them so much I ordered another pair.

I really loved the plaid pop print, but the other styles had that really ugly black trim. I liked that these had solid trim in a matching color.

I ordered a size 6....this was the same size as the first pair. I had a few readers ask if I sized down. I was initially surprised, because my TTS fit so well. There was no way I could have fit into a size 4.....but now I know why they asked!

OMG...they were sooo huge! I seriously had to check the tag a few times to ensure it really was a size 6. I would have guessed a 8 or even a 10! So terrible....so back they went....it was a shame because I loved the first pair. I will probably not order this style online again...even local stores nearby.

I was so giddy that the Iconic wrap came back out, I ordered it without realizing it was knit! I remembered the sizes being really small in the arms, so I ordered a size 6. I started having second doubts when I read it was knit.....and I was right. The size 4 was perfect. I didn't even try a size 6, but I already knew it would be too big. I really liked the black/cadet blue version, but they didn't have my size....probably a good thing so I wouldn't be tempted for a second one I didn't need.

I also tried a Run Times tank. The bali breeze color was gorgeous....but the fit was a little weird. There was an odd seam going across the top of the bra. It made it seem bumpy and ill-fitting. I was just a little under-whelmed in general with this tank.

I also tried the Tuck and Flow tank and I was under-whelmed with this tank too. It was just a little sloppy looking. I can see how some might like this because it can camouflage the stomach and you have the option to tuck it into your shorts, but I just didn't really like it that much. I also didn't like the pink WAFS print. I was really excited for it, when I saw it online.....but now I think I will pass. I did like the fatigue WAFS print, so I will wait patiently for it to come!

OMG.....I loooove the new cadet blue swiftly. It feels different....it is so soft and the pattern is amazing. I am so glad I ordered this.

The Tracker shorts were cute too. I did find the fit a little narrower than I thought they would be..I was expecting really loose. I sized down to a 4, but I found out that the size 6 didn't fit that much different. The plaid was adorable too....I just didn't care for the plaid piping on the back...it made it a little too busy for me.

The Forthright half zip was cute and it fits a little baggy. It would be great for a relaxed fit type of pullover. I just thought the grey was a a little plain and made it look a little cheap.

If it came out in this color, I would be all over it! Love this color combination!

I'm already a sucker for Forme jackets and I really love cadet blue. It is such a pretty, sophisticated blue. I have also been impressed with the Forme jackets now that they remade them. They are much more consistent. I can pretty much order any color and the sizing is typically the same.

Loved the cadet blue with the plaid tracker shorts too btw!

I ended up getting an Iconic wrap since I needed a size 4. I'll return my size 6 next week when it comes in...my packages are a week behind since I live on the east coast....boo. :(

I really like that they switched to knit. I think the knit fabric drapes MUCH nicer. It looks like a great quality sweater. I always liked the Iconic wrap, but I would say this one is a few notches up.

Couldn't turn down the Forme.....arghh.....I really do love it. This color is like deep zinfandel. I'll love the color for years without getting tired of it.

So that's all for now! What did you get this week?
