Sunday-Funday

So my husband was gone this weekend, so I truly had a Sunday-Funday in his absence! I went to East Potomac Golf Course to work on my golf swing, and then I went to Trapeze School New York (Washington DC) to work on my other swing! No workouts....just fun!

It's still pretty cold here, so I layered up today. There's heated bays at the driving range, but it can still get cold.

I wore my Hyper Stripe Angel Wing Forme jacket, Angel Blue Swiftly LS, and Heathered Black Bliss Break sweats. I also still had my Aquamarine CRB and Parallel Stripe WUC underneath as warming layers!

I really love how this jacket fits and love the stripes...its such a great neutral! It was an impulse purchase, but it has been one of my favorite jackets this year.

So when I was at the golf course....we were invaded! With geese! I don't know what these guys were munching on, but they must have stopped for a pit stop during their migration. There were literally hundreds of them and they were adorable! (BTW - kind of neat that I can see the national monuments when I golf!)

After working on my golf swing, I drove over to the Navy Yard for my trapeze swing!

I parted my with layers and had the same outfit I posted earlier. (So nice to plan ahead....I didn't even have to change!)

Class was fun today. I was working on whats called "hocks off" and tried a "straddle" at the end of my class. I only got attempt one catch today doing "hocks off" and it was a slight fail. I barely missed the catcher's hands (note the photo...boooo). The catcher was having some knee issues, so we only got to try one catch. Can't wait for my next class.

This really is such a great experience. I forgot how much fun "working out" can be....it's not just lifting weights! After seeing how much fun these new experiences are (i.e. golf lessons, trapeze, etc), it will make it easier to spend less on Lulu. I still love my Lulu, but I plan on spending less on athletic clothes and more on new experiences.

By the way, I am amazed on how much my back has healed over the last week. It usually takes weeks to recover. Last week, I was in so much pain I could barely walk...my husband said I was at least two inches shorter! I think that TENS unit helped out sooo much. I didn't even notice it at the golf course or in my trapeze class. Still going to go light on the weights this week....no crazy overhead squats or deadlifts. :)

Hope you guys had a great Sunday!
