So I decided to go to Georgetown tonight. I don't really go to Georgetown much....it's a pain to get out there and parking is $10 for an hour. I don't usually go there for my quick Lulu-trips, but I wanted to check out Athleta since I have been hearing a lot of buzz lately.
I tried the Om Tee and the Winter Sprinter pant. I was interested in the Om Tee since I didn't really care for the cap sleeves on the Track Tee. I tried a size 4 and the top felt like it fit on the upper part (if anything a little tight), but the lower part felt way to big. The Winter Sprinter pants were marked down to $44, but I didn't like how they fit. They made me look shorter and dumpy in the waist.
Tried the Baroque Blue Weightless Crew. I really loved it in this color, but I didn't like how the pocket lining flopped around. As much as I liked it, I felt like it was too expensive.
I also tried the Free to Be Wild bra and the In the Flash Bra. I tried power purple Free to Be Wild bra in size 6 and silver spoon one in size 8. It was a little low cut for my larger chest and the material bunched weird around my boobs. The 8 didn't really help and felt really loose. Overall it was cute, but I didn't think it was made for my chest. I really liked the In the Flash bra. I tried a size 6, and it fit well. If they had more colors, I probably would have bought it. It has great coverage for larger chests. It provided good support, while covering up the cleavage. I also liked the pretty straps.
I bought the Zing Pink Light Power Y. Keep checking back for photos....I will try to get a photo up tonight! The tank is luon and the color is a bit neon.
I ended up with a size 6. I fit perfectly into size 4 CRBs, but a size 4 was too small. The material was also nice and thick ...much thicker than my CRBs
Another color comparison against Clear Mint. It shows the neon tones.
Overall I like the Power Y...it is the first one I took home, but I don't know if I'll keep it. Does anybody wear Power Y tanks as casual layers?
Other than the Power Y tank, the only other Zing Pink items I saw was a fly away tamer and some socks. Not a lot of pink this week. :(
There were a few really good markdowns, but I couldn't find much left in my size. I saw a Surge Nice Asana jacket for $44. I also saw my Parallel Stripe Fleet Street pullover marked down (only one in my size too!). I also saw a bunch of bras like the Ebb to Studio and the Stuff Your Bra for as low as $14-19. :( Couldn't find any I liked in my size.
I went over to Athleta and they were closed!!!! Booo....this is not the first time that Google has failed me! Google told me both stores were open until 9pm, but Athleta apparently closed at 7pm. Ugh....pissed I took the time (and money) to go to Georgetown.
On another note...I haven't had time to go to the site, but it really looks like Athleta is stepping up their game. Their display looked very Lulu-ish. I really liked their items...a lot of grey, black, and white stripes. Their striped crops on the right look like their own version on Lulu's Parallel Stripe WUC.
What do you think about Lululemon's new pink?
Are you eyeing anything new from Athleta?
