Lululemon Store Visit - 1/21/14

I had quite an up and down day today! When I found out we weren't coming into work today, I decided to sign up for a trampoline class before my trapeze class. I loved the trampoline when I was in gymnastics, and I thought it would be great to kill some time. I would have had an hour trampoline class followed by a two hour trapeze class, with a half hour buffer between classes. It would have been a great workout!

As I was running around today, I got an email saying all of our classes were canceled.....boooo winter! I can't go to the driving range (even with heated bays, they are on a national park so they are shut down) and I couldn't do trapeze...or trampoline. So now I'm just going to be a bum around the house and go workout at the gym.

When I was out, I stopped by the Clarendon Lululemon to take back my Yoga on the Run duffel in fadded zap. :(

I haven't had it a year and the seams were coming out on the side! The educators were really nice...they said I could exchange it or even send it out for repair (since they only repair zippers) and they would reimburse me. That was really great to know...especially as I get items in colors they don't sell anymore.

I didn't really want to bother finding someone who could repair "luggage", so I decided to swap it in. I wish I spotted the seams earlier. There was a local store last week that had some deep zinfandel ones left.

The only color they had in the Weekend Warrior was surge. I really like the color surge, but I wasn't a huge fan of this color combo.

I looked at the Sweat Once a Day bags in baroque blue and black. I really liked the blue color, but it would be a little loud at work and hard to coordinate with everything. I liked the black one too, but I was concerned that this bag didn't have a lot of space.

I was in a hurry, and I grabbed what I thought was the Weekend Warrior bag in black....I ended up getting the Work it Out bag. I didn't realize this until I was at home...I was looking for the side water bottle pocket, and I realized it didn't have one! Then I checked the tag, and sure enough it was a different bag.

I still really like it. There are three external pockets on one side and a large side on on the back. Black is a little boring, but I will get a lot of use out of it at work and at home. It has a padded laptop pocket which my other one didn't....so it's still an upgrade in my eyes.

There wasn't a lot of new product in the store....actually the WUC were almost completely wiped out in size 4 and 6. I did snatch up a white wee stripe CRB. I didn't get to try it on until I got home. (It is made in Canada if anyone was wondering.)

From hearsay alone, I was expecting this to be sheer...but it wasn't as sheer as I thought. I think it was more thin than sheer. It showed my waistband a little more, but my sports bra was barely showing through. (I was wearing my angel wing hyper stripe Free to Be bra.)

I had my clear mint CRB, so I decided to compare it. It is a little lighter color than my others and I didn't think it was as sheer as some of the others I have tried in the past. I think this CRB is thicker, but a little more sheer than the white wee stripe one. I can see my bra through the tank a little more, but my waistband and abs don't show as much. I still like the white wee stripe version, and it will be a great neutral to have!

My apex zing pink speed shorts came in....and I am torn! I really, really REALLY despise the black liner.

I think I despise the black liner, because (IMO) it shows laziness and lack of attention to detail. If they put enough thought to put a nude liner in my brisk bloom pair, they should have had the same thought for my pink pair. No one thought...through all of the designs, quality control, and photo shoots that maybe a black liner would be a bad idea? Especially after you could see it on the model? That is either laziness or knowing and not giving a hoot.

I am going to consult my husband.....because the pattern is super cute. I kind of feel the way some have felt about the zing WUCs...so cute they are willing to look past some imperfections. I really like these, but I don't think they would hold up in florescent gym lighting. They don't look that bad in natural lighting, but they show much more in brighter lights.

Well that is all for now...I'll probably go to the gym today since all of my fun in canceled.  It was a slow start, but now the snow is starting to come down hard....its sticking to the roads, despite heavy treatment and plowing so I might be off again tomorrow!
