Lululemon Store Visit - 1/15/14

Store visit! I ended up going to two Lululemon stores today...Clarendon and Georgetown. I tried on a few things, but there are still some others out there that didn't make it to my immediate area (Core Kicker tank, Apex Zing Pink CRB, Post Practice Cardi).

I was at the Clarendon Lululemon store earlier. They were nice enough to write me back on Facebook when the Zing Pink WUC came in! Thank you ladies! I had on my Athleta Spectrum Sweatshirt and Chatarunga Capri with my Lululemon Black Hyperstripe Race Me Tee. I really love my Spectrum Sweatshirt...I like how the back scoops a little and exposes my bras/tanks.

I tried on the Chai Time pullover in grey. I really love my white/silver spoon. I really like this top and would love another one, but I don't need it. :(

*Disclaimer - I have no shame....*

I was very disappointed in the Zing Pink WUC. They were compressive, but very sheer. I could see the tag straight through without bending over. They were really cute though....it would have been too hard to pass up if they were opaque. If you were 19 or a fitness competitor with a perfect ass and legs, you might get by with these.

It perplexes me that full-on luon can be thicker and more compressive, but also sheer. That doesn't really make sense to me. I have yet to have any luck finding an opaque pair of full-on luon, but that's from what I've tried. I know batches can vary significantly. There have been really bad reviews of the Macro Micro Inspire crops looking sheer as pantyhose, yet the ones I received was perfectly fine. I don't get it.... *sigh*

*Disclaimer - I have no shame....*

I went to Georgetown for the other items. The Camo/Wren WUP were so bad they shouldn't have left the warehouse. I can see how the Zing Pink WUC might pass on certain perfect body types....but these....wow. Hot mess. They felt really loose for their true size, extremely shiny, and thin. IMO, these are the worst I've seen since the candy stripe WUC last year.

The pattern was subtle....still not my thing, but it was a more subdued camo print. This would have been really popular if they were opaque.

I thought I saw black through the model's pair of Speed Shorts.and I was right. I have NO IDEA why they decided it would be appropriate to put a black liner under a neon color. The material is not that sheer and you can barely see the black....its just annoying. I really like the print....it's adorable and I will probably keep mine once they come in.

I was expecting the Race with Grace half zip to be a llittle blah, but it actually had pretty little details that I liked. There were a few annoyances...I didn't care that I could see a little of the mesh in the front and I didn't really care about the back sticking around the shoulders. It made it pucker a little bit in the back. Not enough to be a deal killer, but just not perfect. I really liked the gathering at the back of the neck and on the back sides. It was well fitted in the front. I didn't need it, but I'm still tempted by this. A good white pullover can get a lot of use.

I tried on the Zing Pink Nice Asana, but I didn't think the fit was right for me. I think I'm caught in between sizes on this one. The size 6 was a tad too big. I've tried size 4 ones before and they are also a little too tight.

As I was expecting...the Zing Pink Forme was awesome. They really got their fit down with the Forme. I used to try on several and would never find one to fit right. They used to be too big in the arms and then the material would pucker and pull in weird areas. These are very fitting....I have never owned a Define jacket, but I like the fit just as much as the photos I've seen of the Define.

I ended up getting two pairs of socks. My socks are getting really ratty and I "needed" some cute ankle pairs. I liked that the inkwell stripe version had dots on one sock and stripes on another. The white dot ones were dots on both socks. The inkwell reminded me of a brand called "little miss-mismatched". You can buy mismatched socks in sets of 3...really adorable.

I couldn't deny a bright pink Forme Jacket....I liked my Brushed Raspberry one, but I didn't need two pink ones....which is why I decided to sell my Raspberry one.

Did you guys try on the new Zing WUC?
