Lululemon Store Visit - 12/18/13 (Part I)

So I was able to make a quick store run over my lunch. I have photos, but they will have to wait until I get home. After hearing that the Parallel Stripe (PS) WUC and WUP ran big, I was a little worried. I only ordered a size 6, so I would completely miss out if I needed a size 4.

I was able to try a few things on.... Brisk Bloom (BB) Calm and Cozy, BB Nice Asana, Fleet Street Pullover (lace print and PS versions), Cocoa Pique Base Runner Half-Zip, Cocoa Pique WU, PS WUP, and PS WUC.

Parallel Stripe WUP/WUC

They only had a size 4 in the WUP. I wanted to try a size 4 anyways, so I tried them on. The size 6 WUC definitely fit on the larger size. The size 4 cut into my sides a little (tiny) bit, but not so much it gave me "muffin top." I preferred the size 6 over the size 4, even though they were a little big. If I was wearing these for compression, I would have gotten the size 4 over the size 6. I also thought the WUP seem a little busier than the WUC. The WUP fit the same as the WUC, but the WUC didn't look as "loud." I think I definitely prefer the WUC to the WUP, but that's my own personal preference.

I am happy with my WUC in size 6, but I still want to share pictures for feedback. I like the stripes, but I don't think they are as flattering as the Quiet Stripe WUC. I did notice that they took the time to line up the stripes and they still slant in the same way the Quiet Stripe WUC did...The thin stripes were a little more spaced out, and I think it made them a little more flattering. (I would kill to get my hands on a pair, but I could never pay $300-400 for used leggings.)

Cocoa Pique WUP

The Cocoa Pique WU were awesome. I'm going to try them on again at my house. I think I got lucky....there was only one left in my cube, and there was a gift sticker over the tag. I'm thinking maybe they were initially a gift and then returned. A reader had asked my opinion on them in a previous post. I ended up returning mine last year...the seams were fraying and they were starting to pill really badly. I do have hopess for this pair, since I have heard the pilling isn't as bad this year. I was able to resist them online, but once I tried them on I needed them. *sigh* Lulu-fail.

(I really need to see some ugly patterns and colors so I can take a break. Come on....bring back those circus stripes, bright orange, and pale colors.)

Cocoa Pique Base Runner Half-Zip

I also liked Cocoa Pique Base Runner Half-Zip. I wasn't really crazy about the black stiching showing through, but I still loved the material.

Brisk Bloom Nice Asana/Calm and Cozy

I tried on the BB Nice Asana and the BB Calm and Cozy. The Calm and Cozy was nice, but I didn't like the white zipper...it ruined it for me. The BB Nice Asana was my favorite BB jacket, but I think I'm getting a little tired of the BB pattern. I still like it... I just think I have had my fill for now.

Angel Blue Swiftly LS

(No photo)

Angel Blue. Wow...I have turned into that person who buys shades of one color. I saw the Angel Blue Swiftly LS and I melt for this color...more so than surge. I had to have this in a LS Swiftly. (I'm still ISO for those Speed Shorts!) I have a LS in Blue Moon, which is a muted light blue. This is a little brighter. I probably don't NEED another blue....but I love blue and I love this shade.

Fleet Street Pullover

My biggest suprise in the trip was the Fleet Street pullover! I was unsure on the quality of it and didn't realize it was a sweater. The grey floral lace print was nice, but it seems like I would get tired of it. I got the pullover in Parallel Stripe. I don't wear black, but I was very drawn to it....it will look great with sneaks and skinny jeans! I'm going to layer it with my golf polos and casual clothes.

Speaking of golf, if anyone sees a pair of black Urbanite Pants in size 6 at the outlets, on WMTM, or on markdown in the store....could you please angel them for me? I love my inkwell for playing golf, and I would really like a black pair. Of course...I can't find a single reasonably priced pair on eBay.

So that's all for now...thanks for reading and I will get back to you guys with some photos tonight!
