I didn't really know what it meant. It was a very elusive message.
I almost didn't go this morning.....I remembered reading the blogs on the LA warehouse sale, how they waited for hours in line and barely got any good deals. I also have been to the outlets, and I can find a few things or two....but never a great "deal." I figured if the warehouse sale or the outlets didn't have that great of a deal, the store would definitely not have a good deal. Part of me wanted to just sleep in because I figured it wouldn't be worth it.
I decided to roll out of bed anyways.....I was going to take back the scuba I bought this week. I was also hoping to see the new zinfandel items. I figured that I could swap my scuba for a new item and maybe a marked down one if they happened to have one thing in my size.
I got there at 8:55. My timing was perfect. There were about 15-20 ladies waiting outside.
I didn't see a lot of racks when I first walked in. There
were two men’s racks in the front and then two women’s racks in the back. I was
already thinking, “great….I should have slept in….” Then the educator said
there will be a 30% discount on top of the lowest purple sticker. That’s when
things started getting real interesting and people started just snatching
EVERYTHING they could get their hand on like vultures! I’m really glad I was
there right when it was open, because everything was picked over within
minutes.
It was great that you could still try on things….educators
were even going back to check on another size for you. After reading about the
warehouse sale in LA….this was so much better. There were no lines, we could go
through merchandise immediately, and have plenty of time to try on anything we
wanted.
I’m glad I grabbed 12 or so items right away, because there
was not much left over when I got out of the fitting room. There ended up being
4 racks of clothes and a display of astro/groove pants.
The prices were beyond amazing.....honestly, I would have been happy even with the sticker prices. I just bought a pink parfait SS Swiftly at Clarendon for $48 on markdown....I could have bought it here for $34 with a 30% discount!
So here's my loot. I got 30% what was marked on the sticker. I got a great, great deal......I would be surprised if it ever happened again. I like the elusiveness of the product email. Honestly, it would have been sheer madness if there were anymore people. It seemed like only the true Lululemon fans showed up. I feel that if they said "flash sale" there would have been a lot of people who never shop the brand. It was a kind gesture to the devoted shoppers.

The jacket was marked down from $228 to $200 (excluding 30%), so it was the only item I got that wasn't a huge "deal". I wasn't expecting to like it because it was a size 4 and I heard so many issues with the zipper. It actually fit really cute and my zipper worked perfectly!

I was pretty impressed how many of the "staples" they had on markdown (scubas, swiftlys, formes, CRBs). I did see a few WUs, but there was not many bras, pants, or shorts. They did have a lot of Grooves/Astros that were marked down to $59, so about $41 after discount. R&D members were also getting a 15% discount on top of the sale discount.
Whew! What a day! I'm so glad I didn't sleep in! I would have really missed out! I figured it out.....I got $716 worth of merchandise for about $232 after my scuba exchange! Not bad for 3 swiftlys, 2 NLTs, 1 tee, 1 jacket, and 1 winter coat!
I feel like I just got Lululemon at Target/Old Navy prices!
