So I went to the Georgetown Lululemon to check out their
I came into the Georgetown store about 15 min before the event started, so I got to check out the new products
This isn't new, but I forgot to say in the last review that the Power Y was actually luon, not luon light.
They had the Fluff Out jacket. It was a little cheaper than the Fluffin' Awesome jacket a few months ago and had pique side panels.
The Fluff Out vest came in white and deep zinfandel. It had stretchy side panels, but they weren't made of pique material.
There was another fleece jacket in inkwell and black called Fleecy Keen.
The Fluff Out pullover was in deep zin, surge, and black. It should be noted that the surge and deep zin versions had pique side panels, but the black had HERRINGBONE. I thought the surge and black ones were very cute.
It should also be noted that the surge/inkwell striped Base Runner LS is signifantly different than the zin, raspberry, and black Base Runner LS. The striped version is made of Rulu, but it felt VERY THIN. Not as thick as my Star Runner pullover.
The zin, raspberry, and black is made of PIQUE. Very warm! (This is weird that they are the same price as the thinner striped version)
The Base Runner pants looked cute, but I didn't get an opportunity to try them on.
There was also a Fluff Out ear warmer and cap and a herringbone neck warmer.
So....the
(Sorry for the crappy photos...I try to be sly so sometimes they are blurry. I was eventually asked to stop taking photos, but at that point I was done so I smiled politely, said "ok", and walked out)
While the "score some core" even looked well organized and spread out, the organization was not as good as the Tyson's Corner event. Tyson's had their items sorted by size. It made it very easy to grab things quickly. Georgetown had people on top of each other checking sizes.
I also didn't see a large selection of sizes. If you were a 10-12 you would have great luck, but there wasn't much in sizes 4 or 6. I don't know if they just didn't have any stock leftover or if the educators snatched it up before the event started. They were all upstairs giggling and it started about 5 min late.
The markdowns also weren't that great either. Like Tyson's, everything was 30% but some things weren't even marked down. The scubas were only 30% of full price. It was kind of off putting compared to my other experience with Tyson's Corner's event.
So sad...the only two items I pulled were a tee and a WAFS scuba. Since it wasn't that big of a markdown, it wasn't enough to make me nibble....maybe it was the disappointment that the event wasn't as good as Tyson's.
Overall the Georgetown Lululemon event was a bust. I would probably hesitate going to their future event for "deals," but their staff was friendly.
So here's a review of what I got before the event started. (I exchanged my herringbone Nice Asana jacket)
I got the Fluff Out jacket in deep zinfandel. I really love this color and have been looking for a vest. Now that it is getting really cold in DC, I have been looking at vests for golf and running. I like that this color goes well with blue and black.
I also got the pique raspberry Base Runner LS. I was going to get black, but I just got a black forme. I also just got the Open your Heart LS in deep zin, so I didn't want another top in the same color.
The top is technically not reversible, since it doesn't have a reflective logo on the other side. I wanted to show you guys both sides to see if you think it can be worn both ways. I think the only "tell tell" sign is the shoulders and they aren't even that obvious.
So here are both sides on me....what do you think? I think it can be worn both ways....but that's just me.
