Fitness Apparel Shopping in Washington, DC
Whether in town for a marathon, travel, or business, Washington, DC has some of the best athletic apparel shopping in the country.
Despite having too many yoga pants...DO NOT pass up one of these three destinations if you are in the area:
1. Georgetown M Street
One of DC's most prestigious shopping streets, M street boasts popular fitness brands such as Adidas, Athleta, Lululemon, Nike, and Reebok. It's a great location to stroll the streets on a pretty day and you can stop for lunch or a yoga session.
2. Tyson's Corner
Although a little far away (~roughly 25 min), this uber-mall is a mecca hub of fitness brands and boasts free parking. Some of the brands include Adidas, Athleta, Finish Line, Foot Locker, Lacoste, Lady Footlocker, Lucy, Lululemon, Nordstrom (Hard Tail, Nike, Unit-Y, Zella), Oakley, The North Face, Under Armour, and Victoria's Secret VSX. It's a great alternative when trying to avoid the chaotic and expensive parking in Georgetown. If you are looking for your big box fitness brands, Tyson's Corner is where you want to go....just don't expect a quick trip!
3. Core 72
Core 72 is my new favorite place to buy workout clothes. Nestled in Chevy Chase, this boutique may seem small, but it packs the best designer fitness brands under one roof...all hand-picked by its owner. Core 72 carries brands like 15 Love, Balega, Carve Designs, CWX, Gigiactive, Hardtail, Letarte, Liji, Marmot, MPG, Nerve Designs, Nuu Muu, Nux, Oiselle, Om Girl, Pearl Izumi, Pistil, Reese, Solow, Splits59, Stella McCarthy for Adidas, Sundry, and Zobha. Whether you are looking for something unique or wanting to try a new brand, this fitness store is a hidden gem in DC.
